The quick answers

Private surf lesson FAQs

Is a private lesson worth it over a group lesson?
Group lessons can have up to 16 people. A private lesson gives you a coach focused only on you or your group, so most people progress noticeably faster.
Can complete beginners book a private lesson?
Yes. Private lessons suit every level, from your very first wave.
How many people can join a private lesson?
Up to 5 for a standard private lesson, or up to 4 with Luke. The more people you bring, the lower the price per person.
What do I need to bring?
Just swimmers and a towel. We supply the board, wetsuit, rash shirt and sunscreen.
Where do we meet?
At the surf school van out the front of the restaurant at One Mile Beach, Port Stephens. It's under an hour's drive from Newcastle and about 2.5 hours from Sydney.
